Why? Because there are too many brilliant, educated guys around, devoting their life to science. The information circulates so quickly that everyone quickly knows what the others know and every development that shapes our lives has multiple parenthood. We lost track of who came up with computer science, nano-biology, genetical codes,...Einstein is the only "star" scientist.Or Reeves maybe. There must be discreet geniuses out there.<BR/><BR/>Another thought: we need time to decode which were the real contributors. I guess very few realized how brilliant Bach and Newton were then.
